About The Process
We start with a conversation about how we can best capture this moment and design the keepsakes you will cherish forever.  

We then design your custom session, considering whether you would enjoy albums, wall art, gift prints, or curated print collections. A date for your portrait session is selected, and on portrait day you will be stress-free because we have thoughtfully planned ahead! The viewing session is next, where we listen, and with our software, we create images of your interior designed with your portraits. This helps us guide your decisions to select from our elegant, artful, portrait albums, wall art, and curated print collections.

 

Whether you have portraits created once a year or once in a lifetime, we work with you to create keepsakes you will treasure!

 

 

About Me

I began my career in the National Gallery of Art Department of Design photographing and researching antique frames and coordinating design and installation in the West Building permanent collection galleries. This work took me nationally and abroad to study and document framing of master paintings, and provided the opportunity to work with top professionals in art administration and scholarship.

At the same time, my own studio and darkroom work focused on photographing and printing fine art black and white lifestyle portraits.  Transitioning to today’s digital darkroom in 2005, I now enjoy over 30 years experience of learning, growing, and adapting in my industry to bring the best of what I have to offer.

Collaboration in the arts is my cornerstone, and as an active member of local and national photography organizations, I pursue continued education, professional standards, and community as a top priority. Dedicated to serving in my field, I have been recognized with distinguished service awards, have earned the PPA Craftsman degree for teaching, and have been honored with Best Pet Photograph and Best Nature Photograph in the annual Maryland Professional Photographers Print Competition. 

I am thankful for my life experiences, for what I have learned from others, and for how this informs what I can offer you - curated photographic storytelling, custom designed for your life. I look forward to learning about you and the creative images you are envisioning.
